Petit Monde Agency is looking for an engaging and experienced French tutor to support two children aged 5 and 7 with developing their French language skills.
The family is based in Old Street, London, and is looking for someone who can make learning French enjoyable and interactive while helping the children build their confidence, vocabulary and communication skills.
Schedule
📍 Location: Old Street, London
📅 Frequency: Once a week
🗓 Days: Monday or Wednesday from 4:30pm, or Saturday morning from 9am
⏰ Duration: 1 hour per session
🏡 Format: In-person lessons preferred
The Role
The tutor will work with the children through engaging and age-appropriate activities designed to develop their French naturally.
The eldest child, aged 7, is currently beginning to read, so the family would particularly appreciate someone who can support this important stage of their language development.
Sessions should include a combination of:
- Reading and early literacy activities
- Writing and spelling
- French conversation and speaking practice
- Vocabulary development
- Pronunciation and oral confidence
- Games, stories and creative educational activities in French
The aim is to encourage the children to use as much French as possible during each session while keeping the lessons fun, positive and motivating.
The Ideal Candidate
The family is looking for someone patient, enthusiastic, engaging and creative who genuinely enjoys working with young children.
Previous experience tutoring, teaching or working with children of this age would be highly appreciated. A strong level of French is essential.
