About the Family
A warm and welcoming family based in Hampstead is seeking an exceptional Nanny or Manny to care for their baby boy from May 2027, when he will be four months old.
The family lives approximately 12 minutes’ walk from Hampstead Village and Hampstead Northern Line station. Mum is Taiwanese and Dad is French, and the family would particularly value a candidate who can speak French and/or Mandarin.
The family is looking for someone who will become a trusted and nurturing presence in their child’s life and who is genuinely passionate about childcare and child development.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be:
- Warm, positive, optimistic and energetic
- Highly experienced in caring for babies and young children, with a minimum of 5 years’ professional experience
- Intelligent, well-read and intellectually curious
- Patient, nurturing and emotionally intelligent
- Confident supporting a baby’s development through age-appropriate activities and education
- Fluent in French and/or Mandarin
- Norland-trained or educated would be highly desirable, but this is not essential
- A driver would be a bonus but not mandatory
The family is looking for someone with excellent judgement, initiative and communication skills who can provide a stimulating, loving and secure environment for their baby.
Responsibilities
The nanny/manny will have sole responsibility for the baby’s day-to-day care, including:
- Feeding and preparing meals as the baby progresses onto solids
- Bathing and personal care
- Baby laundry and keeping the baby’s belongings organised
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the baby’s areas
- Preparing food for the child
- Supporting the baby’s development and education through age-appropriate activities
- Creating a stimulating and nurturing daily routine
- Taking the baby outdoors and organising suitable activities
- Providing general support with basic household tasks related to the child
The family employs a housekeeper once a week for deep cleaning, so the nanny will not be responsible for deep household cleaning.
Additional Information
The family usually takes a holiday in France once a year, and the nanny would have the opportunity to travel with the family if they wished to do so.
The family is open to meeting exceptional candidates now, despite the May 2027 start date, and would be happy to begin the interview process early for the right person.
